I have traced our Dobbs line back to 1600 in Northamptonshire England and I would be interested to hear from you about our DNA family connections. (possibly Albert) Dobbs, who was born around 1807. Census records say he was born in Tennessee or North Carolina. William married Mary Helm in 1826 in Tennessee, probably Fentress County, which is where Mary's family was from. William and Mary moved to Tazwell County, Illinois between 1828 and 1830. Sometime around 1837, the family moved to Lafayette County, Wisconsin. William left Mary between 1850 and 1855, and married a woman named Mary Alory. As far as the family knows, he died in 1876 in Crawford County, WI.

I've found genealogies that a listing William as the son of Lott Dobbs, but I haven't seen any sort of documentation to prove this relationship. Also, my William does not have a son named Perry.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09941534781938162064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8566705724406055207.post-9418434770974040122019-01-05T06:40:24.998-08:002019-01-05T06:40:24.998-08:00Hello, It is possible your William could be the on...Hello, It is possible your William could be the one we're looking for. We are working on our family tree now and are hitting a wall with all of the false information out there. My great x4 grandmother was Elizabeth Dobbs, daughter of Isaac Blanton Dobbs. We have figured him to be the son of Josiah Dobbs Jr. We are not sure which direction to go though when trying to nail down Isaac's grandfather and great grandfather, since as you pointed out, there are so many different stories and relatives coping others' misguided findings. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? Are you familiar with Isaac Blanton Dobbs? Thanks!!!AHarbithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09398539287416861071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8566705724406055207.post-31229212055791100312016-07-12T18:30:12.389-07:002016-07-12T18:30:12.389-07:00Anything about KY Dobbs?Anything about KY Dobbs?Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02569167663633945494noreply@blogger.com
